Glenview Junior Titans Football is gearing up for another GREAT season of home-town Football.

We finished our 2023 season with 3 of our teams, Bantam, PAC 2 Middleweight and Big 10 Middleweight, winning the TCYFL Championships for their divisions.   Every year our program has grown and we look forward to another fun, safe and rewarding season for our players..

To kick off our season, we will have combines offered on Friday, June 14 and Friday, June 28.  You will be asked to select one combine for your player to attend upon registration via SportsEngine.

Practices will start the week of July 15.  Games are played on Saturday or Sunday (one per week) and start the weekend of August 24.  Regular season games will occur each weekend until October 19.   Teams that qualify for playoffs may have games extending through the weekend of November 9.  Exact game schedules will be posted on our calendar once the schedule is released by our league, TCYFL.

The game of football has never been safer and we continue to implement new policy creating a better and safer game. Some of our efforts include; certified trainers at all games, restricting contact at weekly practices to a minimum, and continued investment in new tools and equipment to teach proper techniques safely such as Tackle Wheels and the Shadowman Tackling System. All drills are age-appropriate and closely monitored by our certified coaching staff. Our coaches are required to complete yearly certification in Heads Up Football, Advance Concussion Awareness, and attend Positive Coaching Alliance orientation. Our league, YCYFL has one of the strictest safety policies in the country. We continue to be a leader in improving our game to make it safer. Most recently our league has adopted a new modified kickoff rule that will be tested and reviewed. Our sport of football is truly changing to become a much safer game. We invite you to come to visit us at practice and see what Glenview football is all about.

What time: 10AM-1PM

Where: Practice Field Behind GBS Football Stadium

Participants: Grades 2nd-5th (2024-2025 school year grade) This is NOT for current Jr.Titan tackle players

Facilitators: Jr. Titans tackle coaching staff, featuring our Varsity (7th and 8th grade) head coach with 25 years of service to our organization as well as the coaches of our undefeated 2023 championship Bantam team (grades 2nd and 3rd).

Still unsure about tackle football for your player? This 1-day clinic is perfect for you. Participants will be fitted with helmets and shoulder pads for age-appropriate, and non-contact drills. Here are 4 reasons why you should come and check out this clinic:

• Observe our Coaches: Great opportunity to get a firsthand look at our coaches in teaching action, prioritizing the safety of our players. 

• Engage with Coaches: Parents/guardians can directly interact with our coaching staff and ask questions.

• Equip and Connect: Players will enjoy trying on equipment, meeting coaches, and interacting with Glenview players of their age. 

• Player Self Assessment: Players can assess each other, realizing they’re mostly of a similar age and size.

Starting players early in tackle football not only enhances safety but also improves the game.   Teaching players early and focusing on the fundamentals fosters a genuine love for football and develops better players.

The TCYFL: The Chicagoland Youth Football League we’re a part of,  strictly enforces age and weight restrictions to keep the game safe. Jr. Titan players will only practice and compete against players of a similar age and size.
